There are many things that make a Habitat home special, but how about the actual materials themselves? Not everything at a Habitat build comes straight from the mega home improvement-stores.

Meet Alicia, she is a proud new home owner and member of the Habitat Family. Her house is located in Blythewood but her hardwood floors came all the way from Aiken, South Carolina.

At the time a fellow Habitat ReStore in Aiken had more than plenty quality hardwood flooring and was willing to donate some towards the construction of Alicia's new house. So Executive Director, Roy Kramer along with the help from his son William made the trip to Aiken to pick up the flooring.

The next morning the hardwood flooring was taken to Alica's house in Blythewood, where it would soon be installed.

Below, Roy Kramer and Steven Davis unload the flooring into Alicia's, nearly completed, new home.

Thank you Lake Murray Floor Covering

That following Thursday the fine folks at Lake Murray Floor Covering volunteered their expertise and installed the flooring. And what a fine job they did indeed. Habitat needed help and they got it. The crew at Lake Murray Floor Coving leaped into action with speed and proficiency. Within five hours Alicia's house had beautiful hardwood flooring installed in nearly every room. The kitchen and bathroom were the only rooms not touched. They would soon be covered with a different surface. We at Habitat would like to express a well deserved thanks and heart felt appreciation for the help and passion that Lake Murray Floor Covering offered to us when we needed it. If you are in the need for hardwood or any type of flooring installation, we recommend you try Lake Murray Floor Covering.

Yet again another beautiful finish to a beautiful tale. Another Habitat for Humanity house is built and another member of its family gets there very own place to call home.

The End
